Here are the details of the traffic to my blogs and the income report for May 2012.
I hope you would get some inspiration from the discussion of my numbers over the months!
If you want to share your blog’s statistics, you are most welcome to do so in the comments.
The combined earnings from these 3 blogs for the last month was:
The revenue was earned from Google AdSense ads and affiliate commissions.
Detailed Income Report
The income for my blogs is increasing steadily. However, the earning from each blog is still quite low to provide a blog-wise break up for the income report.
When the combined earning from these three blogs achieves a respectable amount (which I plan to attain by Dec 2012 – so stay tuned and keep visiting!), I would start providing a detailed earnings breakup in my income report for each blog.
Analysis of the current month
Compared to April 2012, the posting has slowed down in May 2012. For this blog, it was expected, since the migration of BlogSEOExpert.com articles has been done. (If you want to know how I did this transition in an SEO friendly way, please let me know through your comments and I would write a post about it)
I have written 10 new posts on this blog in May 2012. Considering that each is an in-depth post that thoroughly examines the given topic (example: Genesis Theme Review – WordPress Theme Framework by StudioPress), I am quite hapy with this number. I plan to maintain this in June 2012.
I published 6 posts on my Things to do in New York blog. This is lower than last month (8), and I plan to increase this in June 2012.
I published only 1 post on my Cruise Tips and Cruise Deals blog. I have been wanting to increase the frequency of posting here as well, but have been limited by the time available to me. Just like my NY blog, I have outsourced some of the content creation through oDesk for the cruise blog. So hopefully, you should be able to see more action here next month!
May 2012 has not been a good month in terms of visitor traffic – the traffic to this blog has increased marginally (about 20%), and the traffic to the NY and cruise blogs has actually decreased.
The NY blog has seen good month-on-month growth with a much higher base for a few months now, so the decrease is a little surprising. It is probably due to the recent Google updates – I am yet to analyze the true reason.
The traffic to the Cruise blog has also decreased in May 2012. Looks like finally, my slow posting is starting to reflect in the traffic numbers!
The income report shows a completely different picture compared to the traffic report. The income has almost doubled in May 2012 compared to April 2012!
As I predicted last month, the growth in traffic in April 2012 has been followed by the growth in income in May 2012.
The income report has been showing a steady growth for the last few months, and I am keeping my fingers crossed!
Plan for the next month
In June 2012, I want to have a good frequency of posting on my blogs – I am targeting 9 – 10 posts on each of my blogs.
While I write the content for this blog exclusively, I have outsourced some of the content creation for the NY and Cruise blogs through oDesk. I am very happy with the kind of results I am getting from oDesk, and would be continuing to outsource through it.
